The 3 Most Important Questions of Life

Hey, Gabriel Guys,

Life can be boiled down to answering three very important questions:

1-Who am I?
2-Why am I here?
3-Where am I going?

For the next three blog posts, we're going to take a look at each of these questions. Today we'll start with Who am I?

Do you know who you are? I don't mean your name, what family you live in, what school you attend. I mean, Do you know who you REALLY are?

This is the first life question that each of us must answer. But where do we find the answer to this question?

Psalm 139 is a great starting point. Let's take a look at verses 13-16:

 For You created my inmost being;
You knit me together in my mother’s womb.

I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    Your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.

My frame was not hidden from You
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.

Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in Your book
before one of them came to be.

In this passage, we find some answers to who you really are:

1-You are a creation of God (v. 13). He made you and knit you together in your mother's womb.

2-You are "fearfully and wonderfully made" (v. 14). Fearfully here means awesomely. You are awesome!

3-You were made for a purpose. All the days of your life were planned ahead of time (v. 16).

The Gospel of John, chapter 1, verse 12 gives more insight as to who you really are.  When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, you became a son of God.

So, to put it all in one sentence, you are an awesome son of God, created by Him for a great purpose.

The world will try to tell you that you got here by chance, that you are nothing more than an accident. This is a lie spawned by Darwinian evolutionism.

The truth is that you are not here by chance. God wanted you and created you with a great purpose. As you seek Him, He will reveal that purpose to you, and you will find great fulfillment and joy in living it.

In our next post, we'll take a look at how to discover your
purpose by answering our next question: Why am I here?

How to Win a Girl’s Heart

Hey, Gabriel Guys,

I once heard a guy say, “Girls! Can’t live with them. Can’t live without them.”

Does this describe you? If so, you’ve probably wondered at times how girls tick. Why are they so hard to understand? Why do you have so much trouble with them?

As a grown girl, let me share a few tips for winning a girl’s heart.

1-Treat your special girl with great dignity and respect. Always speak kindly to her. Open doors for her. Talk to her about what interests her. Put her needs above your own. Remember that God made girls equal in value but different in function

2. Don’t expect a girl to think the way you think. Here’s a visual for you: A guy’s mind is like a set of boxes. A guy focuses on one box at a time while he thinks. A girl’s mind, on the other hand, is like a bowl of spaghetti. Every part of her mind is connected to the other parts. So she has the ability to think about a lot of things at the same time. This is the reason her mind may go from one thing to another very quickly, while your mind is running out of breath keeping up with her. God made girls this way so they can run a home--or an organization--with great skill. Just think of what your mom does! :)

3. Remember that girls are emotional creatures. They were created to bring love into the world. They are creatures of the heart before they are creatures of the head. This does not mean they have no brains. On the contrary, girls have brilliant minds. In addition, they have a sixth sense that guys do not have. Girls have intuition. This means they can know things with their heart that make so sense to the mind.

Intuition is a gift God has given women so they can help others by alerting them to problems and giving them good advice. Many husbands, for example, are thankful to their wives for this gift that has saved them from serious problems.

4. A girl wants a guy to be a strong leader who will lead God’s way. What is God’s way of leading? It is the way of servanthood. Jesus said if you want to be great, you must first be a servant (Matthew 20: 26). So, if you want to be great in a girl’s eyes, begin to serve her.

Guys are not better than girls. Both guys and girls are equal in God’s eyes. They just have different functions in God’s plan.

When you respect a girl as being your equal in worth and value; when you begin to treat her with dignity; and when you understand that she is brilliant in her own right, you will begin to win a girl’s heart.

Are You a Male or a Man?

Hey, Gabriel Guys!

WOW!  What an awesome response to the launch of the Gabriel Guys Blog!  Within less than a day from launch, we were already in five countries! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I'd like to welcome those of you from Austria, Germany, Japan, Singapore, and, of course, the USA!  Please tell your friends about the Gabriel Guys, and please post a comment.  We want to hear from you!

Today we're going to talk about a very critical issue in our day, no matter where you live in the world: the difference between a man and a male.

What? you may be thinking. Aren't they the same?

Not by a long shot.

You see, anyone born of the masculine gender can call himself a male.  But not everyone born of the masculine gender can call himself a man.

Now, I'm not talking about natural human development. It's obvious that a baby boy, naturally speaking, is not yet a grown man.

I'm talking about spiritual, moral, psychological, and emotional development.

"Being born a male does not make one a man." ~ Dr. MaryAnn Diorio

When we consider these aspects, we will readily see that we have very few real men in the world.  Perhaps that is one reason that our world is in such bad shape.

So, what is the difference between a male and a man?  Let's take a look:

1-A male seeks to prove his power by his sexual prowess and his brute strength.
A man seeks to prove his power by his spiritual and moral strength.

2-A male makes money his god.

A man makes God his God.

3-A male puts his own needs above the needs of everyone else.
A man puts the needs of his family, his friends, and his wife and children (if he is married)
   above his own.

4-A male will use women for his own satisfaction.

A man will respect women and never hurt them in any way.

5-A male will flee from commitment, especially the commitment of marriage.
A man will embrace commitment, especially the commitment of marriage.

Bottom line, nobility of character determines the difference between a male and a man. A male doesn't really care about developing a noble character; a man does.

A Gabriel Guy is a true man. He follows Jesus and models his own life after the life of Christ. A Gabriel Guy uses the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, as his weapon in combatting and overcoming evil.

So, if you want to know what a real man looks like, just look at Jesus.

Now, let's hear from you. What do you think are some other differences between a man and a male?
